With Press Start, you’re plunged into the heart of a new adventure in the world of video games. Mixing puzzles, riddles, and shooting phases, this mission will introduce you to 4 new, unprecedented worlds inspired by classic video games.
Drawn into a retro arcade cabinet, you’ll traverse several worlds with iconic references (an alien invasion, a famous plumber, a young hero saving his princess…) and face off against artificial intelligence to save the real world from certain destruction. An odyssey through the worlds of retro gaming and arcade games to nostalgically transport you back to the 1980s.
New challenges and gameplay mechanics!
After 16 months of development, Press Start has finally come to life with its share of novelties such as exploration and scoring.
No more automated teleportation; now you can freely move wherever you want within some of the worlds. These larger levels are explored with a single click by pointing with the controller to where you want to go, enhancing immersion in the adventure. A new mode of movement, once again designed to avoid any motion sickness – the discomfort that can sometimes be felt during a lower-quality virtual reality experience.
If Press Start continues to emphasize collaboration among players, you can also challenge each other throughout the adventure and see who achieves the highest score and reaches the top of the leaderboard… It’s your turn to play!
